The third day of the “Energie für Ihren Körper, optimieren Sie Ihr Leben” Erasmus+ KA153-YOU Mobility of Youth Workers project continued successfully in Klagenfurt, Austria. Bringing together youth workers from Türkiye, Poland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania, and Austria, the project aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits, strengthen the professional competencies of youth workers, and foster sustainable international cooperation among partner organizations.
The day began with the “Unity of Body, Mind and Soul” Yoga Workshop, organized by the Portuguese team. Participants were introduced to the philosophy of yoga, basic breathing techniques, and meditation practices while experiencing both physical and mental relaxation. The group yoga session helped participants develop greater awareness of stress management, concentration, and emotional well-being. The activity highlighted that a healthy lifestyle involves not only physical fitness but also mental and emotional balance.
Later in the day, the Polish team conducted the activity “Nutrition and Exercise Habits: Views from the Street.” Participants worked in groups and interacted with local residents to gather information about their eating habits, physical activity routines, and perceptions of healthy living. Through these interviews, participants gained valuable insights into community attitudes toward health and wellness while improving their communication, research, and data collection skills. The activity also encouraged youth workers to better understand social needs and consider these perspectives when developing future projects.
One of the key educational sessions of the day was “From Myth to Reality,” facilitated by the Romanian team. During this seminar, common misconceptions about nutrition and exercise were examined through a scientific lens. Participants explored popular myths related to healthy living and learned how to identify reliable information sources in an era of widespread misinformation. Interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions encouraged critical thinking and helped participants strengthen their ability to evaluate health-related information objectively.
In the afternoon, the Bulgarian team organized the “Film & Ideas” activity, where participants watched a short film addressing important social themes and cultural perspectives. Following the screening, youth workers engaged in a discussion about the film’s key messages, social issues, and cultural dimensions. This activity encouraged critical reflection, creativity, and open dialogue while helping participants gain a deeper understanding of different viewpoints and cultural experiences.
The day concluded with a reflection and evaluation session, during which participants shared their learning outcomes, experiences, and suggestions for future activities. In the evening, a vibrant Cultural Night brought together representatives from all participating countries to showcase their traditions, music, customs, and cultural heritage. This intercultural exchange strengthened mutual respect, friendship, and understanding among participants while contributing to one of the project’s core objectives: promoting intercultural dialogue and cooperation. As a result, the third day was successfully completed with meaningful activities that combined healthy living, evidence-based learning, and cultural exchange.
