The second day of the “Energie für Ihren Körper, optimieren Sie Ihr Leben” project, implemented in Klagenfurt, Austria, continued with a variety of educational and interactive activities. As a partner organization, Craft Education Bulgaria is proud to contribute to this Erasmus+ KA153-YOU Mobility of Youth Workers project, which brings together youth workers from Türkiye, Poland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania, and Austria. The project aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits, enhance youth work practices, and strengthen international cooperation among organizations working with young people.
The day began with a daily inspiration session designed to motivate participants and help them start the day with positive energy. Youth workers listened to selected episodes from The Tim Ferriss Show, focusing on the habits, routines, and strategies of successful individuals. Following the podcast, participants reflected on the ideas presented and discussed how these insights could be applied to their personal and professional lives. The session encouraged self-reflection, goal setting, and the development of a growth-oriented mindset.
Another important activity of the day was the “Readiness Assessment.” Through an online questionnaire, participants evaluated their current preparedness to achieve personal and professional goals. The activity encouraged youth workers to reflect on their strengths, identify areas for improvement, and gain a clearer understanding of their development needs. The results will support participants in creating more effective action plans and tracking their progress throughout the project.
A major focus of the second day was healthy nutrition and physical well-being. During the seminar entitled “Healthy Nutrition – Fundamentals,” organized by the Romanian team, participants received up-to-date scientific information about nutrition, physical activity, and their impact on quality of life. Topics such as balanced diets, the nutrition pyramid, healthy lifestyle habits, and the connection between exercise and nutrition were explored in detail. The interactive format allowed participants to ask questions and exchange experiences, creating a dynamic learning environment.
Following the seminar, participants took part in the practical workshop “Exercise and Nutrition Planning.” Working in balanced groups, youth workers designed their own nutrition plans and physical activity programmes based on the knowledge acquired during the training sessions. Through teamwork and peer feedback, participants transformed theoretical knowledge into practical strategies that can be implemented in their daily lives and future youth work activities. The workshop also encouraged participants to promote healthy living through social media and community outreach.
The day concluded with a reflection and evaluation session, where participants shared what they had learned, discussed challenges they encountered, and provided suggestions for future activities. In the evening, the Portuguese team hosted a vibrant Cultural Night, giving participants the opportunity to present their national traditions, music, cultural heritage, and customs. This intercultural exchange strengthened mutual understanding, respect, and friendship among participants, making the second day a valuable combination of learning, personal development, and cultural enrichment.
