Craft Education Bulgaria proudly took part as a partner in the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project "Energize Your Body, Optimize Your Life" (Project No. 2025-1-AT01-KA153-YOU-000299912), coordinated by FI Gesundheits- und Sportverein. Held in Klagenfurt, Austria, from 7 to 14 September 2025, the project brought together youth workers from Austria, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Türkiye to exchange good practices, develop innovative approaches to health promotion, and strengthen their professional competences in encouraging active and healthy lifestyles among young people.
A wide range of educational seminars, practical workshops, and collaborative activities enabled participants to strengthen both their personal and professional competences. Topics such as healthy nutrition, hydration, nutritional supplements, physical activity, mental well-being, and self-awareness were addressed through interactive learning methods that encouraged critical thinking, creativity, and active participation. Participants also developed practical tools and action plans for promoting healthier lifestyles among young people and increasing community awareness through youth work.
The project further emphasized creativity, teamwork, and active citizenship through brainstorming sessions, social media campaigns, outdoor sports activities, and community engagement initiatives. Participants designed awareness materials promoting healthy habits, created digital content encouraging physical activity, and collaborated with local community members during outdoor exercises. Creative recycling workshops also demonstrated how environmental responsibility can be integrated into everyday life by transforming reusable materials into practical products, reinforcing the connection between sustainability and healthy living.
One of the most memorable aspects of the mobility was the series of Cultural Nights, where participants proudly introduced their countries through traditional food, music, dances, customs, and cultural heritage. These evenings created an inspiring environment for intercultural dialogue, allowing participants to celebrate diversity while building friendships based on mutual respect and understanding. The cultural exchange activities became one of the strongest examples of the Erasmus+ Programme's ability to unite people from different backgrounds through shared experiences and common values.
Through reflection sessions, peer learning, and continuous evaluation, participants recognized the knowledge, skills, and competences they had gained throughout the mobility. Overall, “Energize Your Body, Optimize Your Life” successfully combined healthy lifestyle education, environmental awareness, creativity, personal development, and intercultural learning, equipping youth workers with innovative methods and practical experiences that they can apply in future youth work while strengthening sustainable international cooperation among partner organizations.
